Is PDFVixo free to use?
Yes. Every core PDF tool, merging, splitting, compressing, converting, editing, and more, is free to use with no software to install and no watermark added to your files.
Do I need to create an account?
No. You can use the free tools without signing up. An optional free account lets you keep a history of your files and unlock a few convenience features, but it is never required to process a document.
Do you keep a copy of my files?
No. Your files stay private and are never copied, opened, or analysed. While a file is being processed it is stored securely and kept for a short window (up to 2 hours) only so you can download the result, after which it is permanently deleted from our servers. You can also remove it yourself right after downloading.
Are my files safe and private?
Yes. Every upload travels over a secure, encrypted TLS connection, is processed automatically, and is permanently deleted from our servers a short time later. We never read, share, sell, or keep your documents.
Are my files safe to use for work documents?
Yes. Every upload and download runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and files are removed automatically after processing. We never share your documents with anyone, which helps meet common company and GDPR data-privacy requirements.
How long are my files kept?
Uploaded files and their results are deleted automatically a couple of hours after processing. You can also download your result immediately and it is removed right after. Nothing is stored long term.
What do I need to use PDFVixo?
Just a modern web browser. PDFVixo runs entirely online, so there is nothing to install. Recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari all work well. If a download does not start, try again in a private or incognito window.
Is there a file size or number limit?
Most tools comfortably handle everyday documents up to a generous size limit. Very large files may take a little longer to process. If you regularly work with big files, the paid plan raises the limits.
How do I upload a file?
Drag and drop your file onto the upload area, or click Choose file to pick it from your device. Where a tool supports more than one file, you can add several at once.
Which file formats are supported?
PDFVixo works with PDF plus common office and image formats, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, JPG, and PNG, depending on the tool you choose. Each tool lists the formats it accepts.
Can I make a scanned PDF editable?
Yes. Run the OCR PDF tool first: it recognises the text in a scanned or image-only PDF and adds a real, selectable text layer. After that you can convert it to Word or another editable format.
Do you add watermarks to my files?
Never. Your processed files come out clean, with no watermarks, badges, or hidden branding added by us.
Why is my file taking a while to process?
Processing time depends on the size of your file, your internet speed, and how busy our servers are at that moment. Large or complex documents naturally take a little longer.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The tools run entirely in your browser, so they work on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iPhone or iPad, with nothing to download or install.
Do I need an account to use the tools?
No account is needed for the free tools. Just open a tool, upload your file, and download the result.
